in full splendor in kodagu livens up the abbey falls. Abbey falls also called
as abbi falls. We feel happy of the monsoon glory. Abbi falls assumes a
dazzling sight and its resplendence continue as long as rain occurs. The river
is part of the kaveri. The waterfall is located between private coffee
plantations and spice estates. The hanging bridge constructed opposite to the
falls. There is a kali Mata temple on one side of the bridge.
The
madikeri the falls are accessible by a narrow road to the coffee estate. A path
through coffee and cardamom plantations leads to the waterfalls. The roar of
the falls can be heard from the road. The abbey falls is a spectacular sight
popular among tourists. A narrow road twisting through the green and dense of
beautiful coffee plantations, trees tangled with pepper vines, leads to the
abbey falls
While
walking towards the falls you will be able to hear the sound of waters and
birds. During the monsoon season the abbey fall swells up with continuous
supply of rain showers and it is very dangers on that season no one will be
allowed to see that falls and water rushes down the mountain at enormous speed.
The
best time to visit the abbi falls is from July to October when monsoon brings
in plenty of water. We can visit day but morning till afternoon time is
preferable. The waterfalls come down from a height of 70 feet.
